Honami Maeda placed second in the Osaka International Women's Marathon with a new Japanese record of 2 hours 18 minutes 59 seconds, breaking Mizuki Noguchi's record for the first time in 19 years.

If no Japanese athlete surpasses this record at the Nagoya Women's Marathon in March, it looks like she will get an Olympic ticket.

We were watching the game on TV and was very impressed. This reminded us to resume jogging which was put off for some time, lol.
